If you want to improve your shooting in basketball, there are some rules you have to follow, in order to get a decent Jump-shot. But which tips and tricks make you such a good shooter as “Stephen Curry” or “Ray Allen”? The Article lists those, which are most efficient.
Ball control:
To gain the maximum control over the ball, you should
hold him on the tips of your fingers. Furthermore you should spread
them a little.
The perfect shooting motion:
At the beginning of your shot your legs
should bent, as if you were sitting. Now as you continue through your
perfect shooting motion, you’re jumping up. At this stage your body
should be straight in the air and your hands above your head.
Remember that you gain the
power for your shot from your legs. They're creating the air under
your shot. As far as physics knows the right amount of air under your
shot is very important, so avoid flat shots.
Aiming:
Your
arm and middle finger should point to
the middle of the rim, in order to sucseed. Moreover you should
finish your shot as if you were dipping the hand into the rim. “Kevin
Love” calls it the cockie jar technique.
Snapping your elbow:
To create a high percentage jump shot you should
straighten out your arm, as you reach the peak of your shot. In the
perfect scenario your elbow should snap back a little. Don't worry
this will feel weird at the beginning.
But once you get the hang of it, this becomes a smooth and natural
motion.
The perfect Arc:
The ball should reach on his arc an apex, which is
about 3 to 4 feet above the level of the rim. To get the perfect arc,
your arm should be stretched out fully. To do/check this, make sure,
your elbow is above your eyes, when you're releasing the ball.
The Footwork:
The
most common mistake of people, who are struggling with their jump shot,
is the footwork. Make sure your toes are pointing towards the basket
before you shoot. Otherwise you won't shoot with a very high
percentage. Shots out of no balance, you should avoid.
The middle finger:
As your longest finger he will touch the ball as
last. So make sure that not only your arm, but also your middle
finger is pointing exactly towards the middle of the rim. Furthermore
your middle finger should point to the ground after releasing the
ball. Because that gives him the right spin.
The attitude:
As
Stephen Curry ones said: shooting is 100 % confidence. This may
appear a bit strange to you, but your confidence indeed plays a big
role in the shooting process. So be confident.
Hard work:
The perfect shooting motion should be something, you do,
without thinking about it. In order that this motion becomes natural
to you it needs a lot of practice.
The right equipment :
You need a ball, you can use outdoors and in the gym. Furthermore a good grip is necessary.
Therefore, I recommend you the ball, which I have linked below. I use this model very much and it has served me well. But I prefer to spend a bit more money if I buy a ball to ensure, that the ball has a high quality and lasts long.

Furthermore I highly recommend good shoes. They are absolutely necessary, in order to actually beat your opponent through your own quickness. Without solid shoes you can be as quick as you want, but you won't break anyone's ankles - but most likely your own. Therefore make sure you get some decent ones, that will actually support you in your moves and don't impede.
I will link you some very good Basketball shoes below.
